Lady Senators win; A-B falls on road

Ashley Bowles had 13 points to lead Davis & Elkins past West Virginia Wesleyan 62-49 Thursday in West Virginia Conference action at the McDonnell Center.

Maquasia Ferebee followed with nine points and five rebounds, while Endi Frazier and Page Turner added eight points each for Davis & Elkins (9-7), who led 34-25 at halftime.

Jorden Lykes had six points and 10 rebounds for the Lady Senators.

Atavia Blake had 23 points and grabbed seven rebounds for the Lady Bobcats (6-9).

Danesha Richardson had 10 points and 12 rebounds for Wesleyan.

Davis & Elkins travels to Fairmont State at 2 p.m. Saturday for a West Virginia Conference matchup.

West Virginia Wesleyan visits Pitt-Johnstown at 2 p.m. Saturday for a WVIAC matchup.

Seton Hill 66, Alderson-Broaddus 56

GREENSBURG (Pa.) – Katie Gattuso had 20 points and grabbed 11 rebounds to lead Seton Hill past Alderson-Broaddus 66-56 Thursday in West Virginia Conference action.

Paige Alviani followed with 17 points and grabbed four rebounds, while Tiara Stossell had 10 points for the Lady Griffins (11-8).

Leah Hurst finished with 15 points, while Shirshawna Dowdy added 12 points for the Lady Battlers (4-11).

Amanda Peoples had nine points and 13 rebounds for Alderson-Broaddus.

The Lady Battlers entertain University of Charleston at 5:15 p.m. Monday for a WVIAC matchup.
