Women’s tournament to continue at Civic Center

CHARLESTON – Alderson-Broaddus and Wesleyan are set for West Virginia Conference quarterfinal action today at the Charleston Civic Center.

The 13th-seed Lady Battlers, who upset Davis & Elkins on Monday, will face No. 5 Seton Hill at 1 p.m. The Lady Griffins won both regular-season meetings.

The 11th-seed Lady Bobcats, meanwhile, advanced with a win at West Virginia State. Wesleyan, the defending tournament champion, will battle No. 2 Fairmont State at 8:30 p.m.

The other quarterfinal contests set for today are No. 2 West Liberty vs. No. 7 Shepherd at 3 p.m. and top-seed Glenville State vs. No. 9 Charleston at 6:30 p.m.

The semifinals are set for Friday, while the championship game will take place at 1 p.m. Saturday.
