WVU to host Red Raiders for Big 12 tilt

MORGANTOWN – West Virginia will look to bounce back from Wednesday’s 20-point loss to Baylor against Texas Tech today at the Coliseum.

Game time is set for 4 p.m., and the action will be televised on the Big 12 Conference network.

The Mountaineers (12-12, 5-6 Big 12) defeated the Red Raiders, 77-61, earlier this season in Lubbock. WVU is led in scoring by junior center Aaric Murray with 9.3 points per game. He also tops in rebounding with 6.4 per game.

Both Murray and sophomore guard Juwan Staten, who is second in scoring with 9.0 points per game, have been coming off the bench.

Freshman guard Eron Harris (8.9), and sophomore guards Jabarie Hinds (8.0) and Gary Browne (8.0) have joined senior forward Deniz Kilicli (7.9) and forward Kevin Noreen (2.4) in the starting lineup for head coach Bob Huggins.

Freshman Terry Henderson, senior forward Dom Rutledge and sophomore forward Keaton Miles also see time off the bench.

The Red Raiders counter with junior forward Jaye Crockett, who leads the team in both scoring (11.9) and rebounds (6.9).

Jordan Tolbert, Dejan Kravic and Josh Gray are also close to averaging in double figures.
