Lady Senators split pair with Seton Hill

The Davis & Elkins College softball team split a pair of games with Seton Hill on Saturday in West Virginia Conference action.

The Lady Senators (7-8, 1-1WVIAC) lost the first game 3-1 and took the second game, 6-4.

Amanda Serafini had two hits to lead the Lady Senators in Game 1.

Katelyn Norton added a solo home run for D&E.

Alanna Jones took the loss for the Lady Senators in seven strong innings.

She gave up three runs on three hits, walked one and struck out four.

Chelsie Stover had two hits and drove in two runs to lead D&E in the second game.

Serafini, Kayla Whoolery, Mallory Wishard, Norton, and Kaitlyn Daugherty all had two hits for the Lady Senators.

Amber Labille notched in win the second game in a seven innings of work. She gave up four runs on nine hits, walked one and struck out five.

D&E will travel to Salem International at 2 p.m. today for a non-conference doubleheader.

College Baseball

Davis & Elkins Splits pair

CHARLESTON – The Davis & Elkins College baseball team split pair of games with Charleston Saturday in West Virginia Conference action.

The Senators lost the first game 10-4 and won the second game, 4-3.

Lance VanNoy had three hits and scored a run to lead D&E in Game 1.

Kyle Crist took the loss for the Senators in six innings of work.

Michael Paratore notched the win in the second game in five innings of work. He gave up one run on four hits and struck out one.

Travis Phelps had four hits, two runs scored and a RBI to lead the Senators in the second game.

D&E will entertain Wheeling Jesuit at 3:30 p.m. Wednesday for a single game.
