Elkins High’s Swecker inks to play soccer at Wesleyan

Elkins High School’s Brianna Swecker has signed a letter-of-intent to play soccer at West Virginia Wesleyan next season.

“I’m really excited about the opportunity to play college soccer,” Swecker said. “I can’t wait to get things started.

Swecker was a four-year participant in soccer and basketball for the Tigers. She earned all-state second-team honors from her midfield position in soccer, while being named first team on the Big 10 Conference team.

“I’m happy Bri will be able to play at the next level,” Elkins soccer coach Scott Cutright said. “I think she has what it takes to play at Wesleyan.”

Swecker, the daughter of Chris and Sally Swecker of Valley Bend, plans to major in nursing at Wesleyan.
