Lady Battlers sweep Salem International

PHILIPPI – The Alderson-Broaddus softball team made quick work of Salem International in Thursday’s doubleheader, winning the first game 6-2 and taking a 4-0 verdict in the second game.

Ali Neace recorded her fifth win of the season in the game one victory. She tossed seven innings, struck out five and allowed one earned run. Neace caused the Tigers to hit into 11 ground outs in the game.

Senior Vanessa Bodily notched her team-high sixth complete game of the season with her start in game two. She tallied six strikeouts, scattered three hits and yielded three walks.

A-B will visit Concord at 2 p.m. Saturday for a WVC?doubleheader.
