A-B signs high-scoring guard from Baltimore
PHILIPPI – Devin Colston, a 6-foot-1 shooting guard from Baltimore, Md., will join the Alderson Broaddus men’s basketball program for the 2013-14 season.
Colston led the National Junior College Athletic Association with 27.1 points and 37.9 minutes per game.
“He played his freshman year at Dundalk Community College in Baltimore,” A-B coach Greg Zimmerman. “Devin led the country in scoring at over 27 points per game. We feel Devin can bring us some experience and immediate scoring at the shooting guard position. He also will have three years of eligibilty that gives him time to develop into a good player in our program. We are excited about the potential that he brings to our team.”
Colston finished the 2012-13 season ranked 14th overall in the NJCAA Division II with 623 total points.
The Battlers reached the quarterfinals of the West Virginia Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Tournament last season and ended the campaign with a 20-9 overall mark.
