ELKINS – Elkins Middle School student George Triplett recently won first place in the boys’ 12-13-year-old division in the regional Punt, Pass & Kick competition at Heinz Field in Pittsburgh.
Triplett earned the right to compete on the Steelers’ home turf by winning two different events – the local Elkins PP&K event in September, along with the sectional competition in Uniontown, Pa., in October.
The top four sectional winners advanced to the Pittsburgh competition.
