TVHS Bulldogs defeat Highland, Va., 79-40

MILL CREEK – Paige Pritt and Kelsey Arbogast scored 16 points each Monday to lift Tygarts Valley over Highland County, Va., 79-40, in non-conference action.

“We shot the ball really well tonight,” TVHS coach Mike DiPasquale said. “I think we’re finally back into the flow of things. We played our style basketball. We had good defense. I think it’s a good start to a big week. My girls played hard and I’m proud of their effort.”

Junior Kelsey Wyss added 12 points for the Bulldogs. Senior forward Emily Pingley controlled the boards, grabbing 14 rebounds.

Chelsea Isles scored 25 of Highland County’s 40 points in the contest.

The Bulldogs host Moorefield on Thursday at 7:30 p.m. The team then travels to St. Mary’s on Saturday for the semi-final round of the West Virginia Home Town Invitational Tournament. Game time is set for 2:30 p.m.
