Dudley’s 20 not enough for EHS
FAIRMONT – Elkins High’s Logan Dudley scored a game-high 20 points, but it wasn’t enough as East Fairmont claimed a 46-43 victory Thursday night in Big 10 Conference action.
“Both teams played tough tonight,” Tigers coach Cathy Duffield said. “We scrapped all the way to the end. It was definitely a fight. Our turnovers are probably what killed us. Dudley had an awesome game. She really came alive tonight.”
Sophomore Bailey Frederick led the Bees in scoring with 15 points. Felicity VanGilder added 14 points.
For Elkins, Meghan Dolly scored eight points and Jaycie Saseen added six points.
In junior varsity action, Monica Rossi hit one of two foul shots to help Elkins defeat East Fairmont, 29-28, with no time left on the clock.
Amber Marstiller led the Lady Tigers in scoring with five points. Paige Harrison, Jontasia Sitton, Christine Zurbuch, Sara Burky and Rossi added four points each.
Makenna Murphy paced the Bees with 11 points.
Elkins will host Lewis County at 7:30 p.m. today for senior night at Richard P. Simmons Memorial Gymnasium.
