Snowshoe Foundation awards $2,000 grant to Elkins High School

ELKINS – A $2,000 grant from the Snowshoe Foundation will allow visiting fans a place to set during baseball games at Elkins High School.

The Elkins High School Athletic Boosters utilized the funds to install bleachers on the visitors’ side of Post 29 Field at EHS.

“This has assisted with fan comfort and created a more positive atmosphere at the games played on this field,” an EHS Athletic Booster spokesperson said. “It has been a great addition to a facility of which the athletes are already very proud.”

This is one of the 66 grants totaling $92,367.50 awarded this year by the Snowshoe Foundation to organizations located in Pocahontas, Randolph and Webster counties. Over the past 11 years, the Snowshoe Foundation has been able to award over 1.2 million dollars in grants and scholarships in the three-county area.
