Elkins Otters split with Bridgeport

ELKINS – The Elkins Otters opened the season by splitting with Bridgeport Tuesday.

The Otters won the girls meet by the score of 170-102.

Earning wins for Elkins were 9-10-year-old 100 freestyle relay team (Joslyn Deweese, Landrie Lanham, Erin Nestor and Isabelle Judy; the 11-12 200 freestyle relay (Kaleigh Papez, Bailey Tracy, Kylie Teter and Hannah Phillips); Judy (9-10, 50 freestyle, 25 backstroke and 25 breaststroke); Tracy (11-12, 100 freestyle, 50 backstroke and 50 freestyle); Mara Sanders-Looney (13-14, 100 freestyle, 50 backstroke and 100 IM); Abby Bowley (15-18, 100 freestyle, 50 freestyle 100 IM); Lilly Anger (6U, 25 backstroke and 25 freestyle); Tayler Lee (15-18, 50 backstroke, 50 butterfly and 50 breaststroke); Phillips (11-12, 100 IM and 50 butterfly); Teter (11-12, 50 breaststroke); the 100 9-10 100 medley relay (Deweese, Nestor, Judy and Lanham); and the 11-12 200 medley relay (Papez, Teter, Phillips and Tracy).

Bridgeport took the boys race by a score of 141-105.

First-place finishers for the Otters included the 11-12 200 freestyle relay (Jasper Clark, Ivan Sanders-Looney, Dylan Russel and Andrew Russel); Micah Toney (13-14, 100 freestyle and 50 butterfly); Brendan Wallace (15-18, 100 freestyle and 50 breaststroke); Looney-Sanders (11-12, 50 backstroke); Alex Rosencrance (13-14, 100 IM and 50 breaststroke); Quincy Miller (8U, 25 breaststroke and 25 freestyle); Andrew Russel (11-12, 50 freestyle); and the 11-12 200 medley relay (Clark, Sanders-Looney and Andrew Russel).
