Outdoors show set
As the tree colors begin to change, West Virginia outdoorsman are gearing up for the 2016 Mountain State Outdoors Show Saturday and Sunday at the Ruby Community Center in Mylan Park Morgantown.
Thousands of outdoor enthusiasts are expected to attend the show which will feature over 50,000 square feet of “Everything for the Outdoors.”
Whether you hunt deer, turkey, bear, coyote, rabbit or birds, you will find lots of supplies and information for your hunt. Vendors will be selling guns, archery equipment, ammo, knives, camo, gun safes and the newest hunting gadgets.
If you enjoy fishing, you can book a charter boat trip on the Great Lakes, or find out where the local hotspots are from the West Virginia DNR.
A large selection of ATV’s, tractors, mowers and trailers and a variety of on-road and off-road trucks will be on hand, along with generators.
Representatives from Stonewall Resort and Massanutten Resort will showcase activities such as boating, fishing, zip lines, skiing, golf, camping, horseback riding and more.
Informative seminars will be offered both days on the topics of coyote snaring, big buck deer hunting, crossbow hunting and fall turkey hunting. Times are listed on the event website.
Prizes are given away hourly and one lucky person will win the Grand Prize “Trail Riders Getaway.” They will receive a brand new Kawasaki Mule side-by-side from Morgantown Power Sports and WKKW. They can explore the trails of WV with four 2017 Season Passes to the Hatfield-McCoy Trails, along with a cabin for two nights at Twin Hollows Camp Grounds. Winner must be 21 years old and some restrictions do apply. In addition to those who qualified on WKKW, one qualifier will be chosen every hour at the show and the winner will be announced at 3 p.m. Sunday.
