Elkins’ Browning signs with Glenville

Josh Browning celebrates with supporters this week as he signs a letter of intent with Glenville State College. With Browning are, front row from left, Josh and his mother, Jenny Belt; and back row, EHS principal Russ Collett, Martin Kniley, Evan Hott, Greg Hott, Adam White and EHS athletic director Adam Roth.

ELKINS — A member of the Elkins High School football squad will be adding his name to the Glenville State College roster this fall.

Josh Browning signed a letter of intent this week to join the Pioneers of Glenville.

“I like that the campus is small,” Browning said. “I really love (the team).”

The defensive end believes that he is prepared to transition from high school to collegiate athletics and match the work ethic that is necessary to compete at a Division II level in the Mountain East Conference.

Browning also noted that he already has met his future coaches, as well as his teammates, and looks forward to becoming a part of the Pioneer family.

Browning plans to major in athletic condition and coaching.
