A helicopter flies over the Elks Country Club Golf Course Saturday for the ‘golf ball drop’ at the Mountain State Forest Festival’s annual Night Golf Tournament. The closest to pin winner was split between Ryne Bonnell and Lisa Shaffer, $500 each. Flight 1 winners were, first place, Brett Shreve and Cody Gainer shot a 63 for 18 holes; second place, Chris Curtis and Frank Mams shot 68; third place, Ed Lothes and Dick Brown shot 65. Flight 2 winners were, first place, Scott Harris and Amon Marstiller shot 75 in 18 holes; second place, Richard Wilson and Wayne Holt shot 78; third place, Bob Lewis and Joe Daniels shot 78. Flight 3, father and son, first place, Kurt and Kolin Hopwood shot 61 for 18 holes; second place, Rodney and Zach Elmore shot 64; third place, Drew and David Pingley shot 68. The longest drive winner was Kolin Hopwood; longest putt was Ed Lothes; and Kevin Bonnell won closest to pin.
