Mountain Lions defeated by Northern Garrett, Md., 39-6

PARSONS — Things didn’t go very well for the Tucker County Mountain Lions Friday, as the team fell to Northern Garrett, Md., 39-6, in non-conference football action.

The Mountain Lions finished the game with 135 yards of total offense, including 13 yards on the ground and 122 passing yards.

TCHS also turned the ball over twice.

Senior Brett Reall led Tucker County in rushing with 14 yards on 7 attempts.

Quarterback Luke Poling completed 8 of 15 passes for 72 yards and 2 interceptions. Junior QB William Hood also tossed 3 passes for TCHS for 50 yards and a touchdown.

Ben Cromer led the receivers with 6 catches for 60 yards, while Jordan Moss caught 2 passes for 37 yards and a TD. Cole Rapp contributed 2 catches for 25 yards.

Northern Garrett racked up 453 yards of offense, including 384 rushing yards.

Tucker County (1-2) is set to travel to Moorefield Sept. 15 for a Potomac Valley Conference matchup.

Kickoff is scheduled for 7 p.m.
