BRIDGEPORT — Jared Parsons scored 2 goals Tuesday but it wasn’t nearly enough, as Elkins fell, 11-3, to Bridgeport in Big 10 Conference soccer action.

“It got out of hand after the first 10 minutes,” EHS coach Michael Sfameni said. “We scored first, about 35 seconds in.”

After the quick score by EHS, Bridgeport ran the tally to 6-1 at the half.

Parsons and Michael Dibacco scored goals in the second half for the Tigers.

Liam Gongola notched an assist on Parsons’ goal.

Elkins (8-5-2) has a clean slate for the rest of the week.

The team is set to return to action Oct. 10 to host Philip Barbour High School. Game time is scheduled for 8 p.m. and will feature Senior Night activities to honor the senior players and their families.

The team will then close out the regular season schedule on Oct. 12 at Buckhannon-Upshur High School.
