The Elkins Middle School boys soccer team put their winning streak on the line as they battled Buckhannon Middle School in this year’s tournament finals at Robert L Bland in Weston on Saturday. EMS led 2-1 at the half, and eventually earned a 5-1 championship game victory. ‘It was gut check time for the kids and I challenged them to find the motivation and physical type of play that we have been accustomed to seeing all season,’ EMS coach Brian Elliott said. With two more games left on the schedule, the boys are determined to finish the season with a perfect record, he said.
