Lady Bulldogs post big victory
MILL CREEK — The Tygarts Valley High School volleyball squad won their second game of the season Tuesday during a tri-match at home.
In their first match of the day, the Lady Bulldogs defeated Richwood. The scores were 11-25, 25-18 and 25-22.
In this match, Tygarts Valley’s Tatum Wamsley had 8 kills, while Katy Defibaugh had 7 kills and 3 aces.
Morgan Long racked up 5 kills and 2 aces, while Abby Boggs added 4 kills and an ace and Bethany Ogden contributed 4 kills and 2 aces.
In the second match of the day, Gilmer County defeated Richwood.
In the third match, Tygarts Valley lost to Gilmer County. The scores were 11-25 and 14-25.
Defibaugh had 4 kills in the match, while Wamsley added 3 kills.
Today the Lady Bulldogs will travel to Morgantown to take part in another tri-match, this time facing Trinity and Clay-Battelle.
