Philip Barbour downs North Marion

PHILIPPI — Working his way around the Colts’ Corral for a game-high 37 points Wednesday, Philip Barbour senior David Shriver led Philip Barbour to a 69-63 regular season finale win over Big 10 Conference foe North Marion.

Shriver, already the all-time leader in three-point shots made in PB school history, added to his legacy with a school record 9 made from behind the arc for the Colts Wednesday. Shriver also inked 6 in the rebound column for PBHS.

“It was a tough game, Jude was tough for them,” PBHS coach Marcus Johnson said. “We had to play them with a zone. Kiyan Bartlett played a heck of a game. Jed Hawkins came in and hit a couple big threes to play big minutes for us.”

Philip Barbour left a 15-13 deficit behind after one quarter, and found themselves deeper in the hole, 31-25, at halftime. The Colts put the brakes on in the third, bringing the scoreboard up to a 49-all tie to start the fourth.

Cole Whited finished with 10 boards, 9 points, 6 steals and 5 assists. Noah Price collected 10 points. Hawkins had 7 points and 5 boards for the Colts. PBHS will begin sectional play next week.
