Tucker girls win big over Pendleton

FRANKLIN — Tucker County bounced back from their initial loss of the season on Monday by going on the road for a 76-28 win over Pendleton County Wednesday.

Out in front early with a 27-8 lead after one, the Mountain Lions went further ahead with a 45-17 cushion at the half.

Sydney Nestor paced TCHS with 22 points and 8 rebounds. Terra Kuhn recorded 15 points and 6 boards.

Kelcee James wrangled in 9 rebounds, while Cecily Strawderman inked 7 points. McKinley Murphy chipped in with 5 assists for the Lady Mountain Lions.

The 15-1 Class A No. 2 Tucker County squad is slated to be at AA Lincoln (10-7) on Saturday for a non-conference tilt in Shinnston.
