Storm delays Tigers’ game
BRIDGEPORT — Severe weather, including lightning, caused the Elkins High School’s boys baseball game to be suspended Tuesday evening in their game against Bridgeport.
The Tigers were winning 8-5 in the top of the sixth inning, said EHS coach Jack Crumm.
“We’re batting, with 1 out, bases loaded,” Crumm said, noting the game is scheduled to resume at 4:30 p.m. today at Bridgeport. If EHS wins, the team will play a second game beginning 45 minutes later.
Elkins must win both games to eliminate Bridgeport and move on to the state championship.
