D&E women upset Findlay

ELKINS — Ellie Rossiter’s goal in overtime lifted Davis & Elkins to a 2-1 upset of G-MAC leader Findlay University Saturday night at Nuttall Field.

The winning goal was set up when Bailey Aab’s corner kick sailed to the back side of the penalty area where Tessa Stewart sent the ball back across goal on target and Rossiter redirected it in with a header.

Olivia Frank’s goal in the 63rd minute had given the Oilers a 1-0 lead.

The Lady Senators drew even when Natalia Ruiz Guerrero’s corner kicke was headed in by Roxanne McFarlin in the 84th minute.

D&E (5-4-2, 5-4-1 G-MAC) will visit Cedarville at 5:30 p.m. Thursday for a league game.

BUCKHANNON — Ten different players recorded goals as the West Virginia Wesleyan women’s soccer team rolled past Glenville State, 11-0, Sunday in MEC action.

Natalie Prater had two goals for the Lady Bobcats. Others netting scores were Shannon Shawgo, MaKatlyn Tucker, Isabella Salas, Casey Underwood, Brianna Bevil, Hannah Schoolcraft, Kayla Fay, Audrey Barber and Danielle Jonas.

Wesleyan travels to the University of Charleston on Wednesday.
