Hoops clinic slated

Will be hosted by EHS boys on two dates

ELKINS — The Elkins High School boys basketball program will be hosting an Offensive Skills Clinic on Wednesday, Oct. 24, and Saturday, Oct. 27.

The time on Oct. 24 will be from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. and the time on Oct. 27 will be from 9 a.m. to noon.

Families can choose to attend either one or both days. The cost for attending one session is $25 and both sessions is $40. The Offensive Skills Clinic is open to girls in grades kindergarten through eighth grade and the boys is for grades kindergarten through seventh grade.

The clinics will emphasize the fundamentals in ball-handling/dribbling, passing/catching, finishing, shooting and proper footwork. Drills and competitions will be designed to help campers develop their individual offensive basketball skills, while learning team concepts in a positive, game-oriented environment.
