ELKINS – Elkins High School’s Greyson Howell signed a letter-of-intent earlier this week to continue his soccer career at Davis & Elkins College.

Howell was a standout goalkeeper for the Tigers under head coach Michael Sfameni. He was also a three-time champion with Mountaineer United Soccer Club out of Morgantown.

“When I visited D&E, it felt like home for me,” Howell said. “I really liked the coaches and players, and it’s a good fit for me.”

Howell was an all-Big 10 Conference second-team selection this past season and also earned a spot on the second team of the all-regional squad.

“I really felt like my offseason training helped me my senior season,” Howell said. “I know at the college level I will have to work very hard in the weight room and with my conditioning to get stronger.”

Howell, the son of John and Susan Howell, plans to major in pre-physical therapy at D&E.
