Harman girls, boys earn wins

HARMAN — Jamen Dudley tossed in 24 points and Sheridan Bonner recorded her 11th double-double of the season to lift Harman to a 58-25 win over Paw Paw on Wednesday night.

Dudley also had eight rebounds, two assists and three blocked shots, while Bonner had 12 points and 14 rebounds to go along with six blocked shots.

Also contrbuting for Harman (11-4) were Natalie Teter with eight points and four assists, Alison Warner with seven points, six rebounds and five assists, Alexis Nelson with four points and Rachel Spencer with a 3-pointer.

The Lady Panthers were 11 of 14 from the free-throw line in the win.

“It was a hard-fought game but the girls pulled together and played like a veteran team,” Harman coach Todd Raines said. “We are moving the ball well and seeing the whole court.”

Harman, which also defeated East Hardy, 49-34 on Monday, will remain home at 6 p.m. today to face Union.

Boys game

Harman 65, Paw Paw 38

HARMAN – Braydan Huffman led three teammates in double figures as Harman claimed a 65-38 win over Paw Paw on Wednesday night.

Clayson Knotts added 13 points and Michael Lambert 12 for the Panthers, who jumped out to a 23-12 lead after one quarter.

Logan King bucketed 14 points to pace the Pirates (4-5).

Harman (6-6) will visit Union at 7:30 p.m. Friday in WVHIT second-round action.
