ABU lacrosse squads tumble

LAKEWOOD, N.J. — The Alderson Broaddus University men’s lacrosse team dropped a 10-3 decision to host Georgian Court on Friday afternoon.

The Lions jumped out to a 6-0 lead and took that advantage into the locker room.

The Battlers answered with a pair of goals in the third by Justin Jablonski and Braxton Roman. Georgian Court responded with the first goal of the fourth to push the lead to 7-2.

Jablonski scored his second of the game to pull ABU back within 7-3, but the Lions scored three straight to set the final.

Jablonski notched a pair of goals to lead the Battler offense. Christian Clarkin posted a pair of assists.

Joseph Varela made 20 saves on the day. Christopher Harris scooped up four ground balls and caused a pair of turnovers.

Women’s lacrosse

Shepherd 21, ABU 11

SHEPHERDSTOWN — The Alderson Broaddus women’s lacrosse team fell 21-11 Friday afternoon to Shepherd University.

Shea Lee Roblin triggered the Battler offense with four assists on the day, while Brooke Dinehart tallied three goals

Allison Rogers and Taheera Rodgers each had three points on two goals and and an assist.
