Mountaineers’ Gold-Blue Game set for Saturday

MORGANTOWN — West Virginia University is hosting its annual Gold-Blue Spring Football Game on at 1 p.m. Saturday at Mountaineer Field at Milan Puskar Stadium.

The gates open at noon, and tickets are available for $10 each. Fans are encouraged to purchase their tickets in advance online at WVUGAME.com. Tickets also can be purchased at the Milan Puskar Stadium North Gate ticket office and the Southwest Gate ticket windows on game day beginning at 11 a.m. Proceeds will benefit WVU Medicine Children’s.

WalkttheTalkwithHoss (2.7 mile walk) and the Family Resource Center 5K (3.1 Mile Race) will be held from 9 a.m. – 10 a.m. and the Li’l Mountaineer Training Camp (12 and under football camp with the coaching staff on Mountaineer Field) will begin at 10:15 a.m. Registration for the events will be at the Caperton Indoor Facility from 7 a.m. – 8:30 a.m. More information can be found online at www.walkthetalkwithhoss.com.

For the Gold-Blue Game, all fans, including WVU students, should enter the stadium through the North and Southwest Gates. There will be no stadium re-entry passes issued for the game. Stadium seating, restrooms and concessions will be open on the west lower side only.

All parking for cars and RVs is on a first-come, first-serve basis.

The following east side parking lots are available for parking for this year’s Gold-Blue Game: F1, F2, D and E. The following west side parking lots are available: A1 and B1. All parking lots will open at 8 a.m. Saturday.

The center and west lots of the large Blue hospital parking areas (hospital parking lots C1-C10) are reserved for hospital parking only and will not be available. The Silver and Teal Lots will not be available to the general public.

The PRT is operating on its normal Saturday schedule (9:30 a.m. – 5 p.m.) and is $.50 per trip to the general public (ride free with a valid WVU ID).

The Gold-Blue Game, slated to begin at approximately 1:07 p.m., will conclude WVU’s spring football drills.

There will be an unveiling of the new Nike uniform design during the game.
