WVU adds Bowling Green QB transfer

MORGANTOWN – Quarterback Jarret Doege indicated on Thursday he would be transfering from Bowling Green to West Virginia University.

Doege, who took part in spring drills with the Falcons, threw for 2,660 yards and 27 scores last season.

He completed nearly 63 percent of his pass attempts for the Mid-American Conference member.

The native of Lubbock, Texas, is expected to sit out the 2019 season and will have two years of eligibility.

The Mountaineers and first-year coach Neal Brown added quarterback Austin Kendall earlier this year as a transfer from Oklahoma.

Junior Jack Allison, who started in the Camping World Bowl setback to Syracuse, and redshirt freshman Trey Lowe are the other quarterbacks on the roster.

Allison was also a transfer, coming to Morgantown from Miami.
