B-U’s Gaudet, Tucker’s Evans to play in Sunday’s North-South tilt

FAIRMONT – Buckhannon-Upshur’s Audrey Gaudet and Tucker County’s Riley Evans will participate in the North-South All-Star Basketball game to be held Sunday at East Fairmont High School.

Both will be members of the North squad, along with Madonna’s Andrea Alimario, Williamstown’s Bethany Arnold, Frankfort’s Abby Beeman, Parkersburg South’s Sierra Hays, Fairmont Senior’s Anysa Jordan, Notre Dame’s Taylor Martino, Bridgeport’s Emily Riggs and Trinity’s Reagan Sharp.

The North will be coached by Williamstown’s Fred Sauro and Trinity’s Mike Baldy.

Both Gaudet and Evans averaged nearly 12 points per game this past season for their respective teams.

The South roster includes Wayne’s Lakyn Adkins, Woodrow Wilson’s Laken Ball, Wyoming East’s Jazz Blankenship, Sherman’s Dejah Busby, George Washington’s Katy Darnell, Roane County’s Halle Farmer, Spring Valley’s Haley McComas, Summers County’s Erica Merrill and Bluefield’s Autumn Spangler.

Tucker County’s Riley Evans will play in the North-South Girls All-Star Basketball Game Sunday at East Fairmont High School.

George Washington’s Jamie LaMaster and Ripley’s John Kennedy will coach the South squad.

A 3-point shooting and free throw contest will be held at2:30 p.m., followed by the game at 4 p.m.
