Community baby shower set

The Randolph County Partners in Prevention Team is planning a community baby shower for pregnant and new mothers of children age 12 months and younger. The shower is scheduled for April 13 and will be at the Davis Memorial Presbyterian Church in Elkins from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.

The team’s goal is to provide participants with health, safety and support information as well as celebrate the birth of their child. Mothers must register for the event by calling the Randolph County Family Resource Network at 304-636-4454. Those who are registered will receive a gift pack including essential infant supplies they will need as new mothers. Space is limited and is free with refreshments provided.

This event is made possible through collaborative efforts of The Prevention Team. The team consists of: The Randolph County Family Resource Network, Women’s Aid in Crisis, Youth Health Services, and Randolph County Children’s Advocacy Center, Randolph County Board of Education and the Randolph County Department of Health and Human Resources. Funding is provided in part by the W.Va. Children’s Trust Fund and the Benedum Foundation.
