Garden program to accept applications

Beginning April 8, North Central West Virginia Community Action Association Inc. will accept applications for the 2013 garden program.

Completed applications must be returned to North Central West Virginia Community Action by no later than 4 p.m. April 19.

Income-eligible individuals and families can apply to receive free seeds, plants and fertilizer for their home vegetable garden. Interested applicants also are encouraged to take advantage of the free soil testing program provided through the local West Virginia University Extension Service office.

Applications for the garden program are available at the Randolph County office of North Central West Virginia Community Action at 938 S. Davis Ave. in Elkins. Office hours are 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday to Friday.
