Pupils compete at piano festival

Four pupils of Eloise Federer participated in the recent piano festival at Alderson-Broaddus College sponsored by the West Virginia Music Teachers Association. In addition to performing solos, the pupils interpreted a vocal composition in the creative session presented by Heather Cottrill of the college faculty.

Elkins pupils appearing were Sarah Ratnakar, daughter of Dr. Nitesh Ratnakar and Linda Johansson-Ratnakar; Liam Purkey, son of Mr. and Mrs. Gene Purkey; Linsey McCollam, daughter of James McCollam and Joan Miller; and Lydia Mace, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Rich Mace of Philippi.
