West Virginia Wesleyan College announces baccalaureate speaker
West Virginia Wesleyan College has announced the Rev. Junius Lewis as the keynote speaker for the college’s upcoming baccalaureate service.
The service is to take place May 3 in Wesley Chapel on the school’s campus in Buckhannon.
Lewis currently serves as a full-time pastor and a member of the ministry team at Suncrest United Methodist Church in Morgantown.
He has been in the ministry for 28 years, also serving as the pastor, church founder and head of Junius Lewis Ministries.
During his college career, Lewis was an outstanding basketball player for West Virginia University, also having played professionally in Europe for a year and a half.
“My passion is seeing the Body of Christ come into maturity and serving the Lord with gladness,” Lewis said.
Lewis is married to Rebecca Lewis, a school teacher in Monongalia County, with whom he has three children, Junele, 26, Junius III, 24, and Jonathan, 18. He currently resides in Morgantown.
