Piano students to perform Sunday at D&E College

Piano pupils of Eloise Federer will perform in a recital Sunday at Halliehurst on the campus of Davis & Elkins College.

The public is invited to attend the program, which will began at 3 p.m. The recital also will feature the performance of renowned pianist Peter Amstutz, professor of piano and coordinator of keyboard studies at West Virginia Universtity. He has presented recitals in Europe and has made several recent tours of Asia.

The program will include the duet “Song Prelude op. 94” composed by Davis & Elkins College artist in residence Jack Gibbons of London and performed with pupil Aodhan Minney.

Elkins pupils appearing are Grace Corley, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Jon Corley; Sarah Ratnakar, daughter of Dr. Nitesh Ratnakar and Linda Johansson-Ratnakar; Maxie McCollam, son of Mr. and Mrs. Willis McCollam; Kaia Miller, daughter of Todd Miller and Katherine Somers; Aodhan Minney, son Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Minney; Liam Purkey, son of Mr. and Mrs. Gene Purkey; Connie Rhinehart, daughter of Gloria Shaffer; and Preston Marsh, son of Mr. and Mrs. Gary Marsh.

Out-of-town pupils are Lydia Mace, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Rich Mace of Philippi; McKenzie Carpenter, daughter of Dr. and Mrs. Jamie Carpenter; and Merida Kaiser, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Kaiser of Belington.
