Augusta invites public to dances
Augusta Heritage Center hosts evening public dances almost every night of the week, Sunday through Friday during Augusta’s five-week summer program. Admission is $6 for adults and $4 for seniors and teenagers. There is no charge for children 12 and younger.
Dances take place in the dance pavilion on the Davis & Elkins College campus located behind the Myles Center for the Arts. Dance styles vary each week.
The schedule is as follows: Irish ceili and set dances at 8 p.m., today and Friday and following the concert Thursday; bluegrass squares and contras at 8 p.m., Sunday and Aug. 2 and following the concerts on July 30 and Aug. 1; old-time week; squares and contras at 8 p.m. Aug. 4, 5, 7, 9 and 10 and following the concerts Aug. 6 and 8.
