Sleeth Gallery set to unveil first exhibit

West Virginia Wesleyan College’s Sleeth Gallery will open with “LOLWUT,” which will open on Sept. 3-19. “LOLWUT” will feature performance and intermedia works by national and international artists. Artists Caroline Peters, Toni Billick and Sara Holwerda will be performing live during the opening and will give artist talks following the reception.

The art opening is Sept. 5 from 4:30 to 6 p.m. This show contains subject matter which some may not find suitable for all ages. Wesleyan’s Art Department includes concentrations of study in graphic design, drawing and painting, intermedia and art education. The department also offers a pre-art therapy major.

Sleeth gallery is open Monday through Friday from noon to 5 p.m. or by appointment. Visit the website at sleethgallery.wvwc.edu for more information. Admission is free.
