Equipment endowment created

West Virginia Wesleyan College’s distinguished graduate and former long-time Board of Trustee member Alfred Moy ’60, Hon. ’73 of San Mateo, CA, has established the David E. Reemsnyder Research Center Endowed Equipment Fund with two generous gifts.

Proceeds from the fund will be used for building upkeep, new equipment for the chemistry and engineering physics programs, and for matching funds for grant opportunities.

Moy was a senior vice-president with Hewlett Packard and served in a variety of leadership capacities on Wesleyan’s Board from 1987-2000, and was reelected in 2001 until 2011. He received an honorary Doctor of Laws degree from Wesleyan in 1973 and the Alumni Achievement Award in 1995.

“We are most grateful for Al’s vision and generosity,” remarked President Pamela Balch ’71. “An endowed science equipment fund has been a long-time institutional need and this will help the College meet the challenge of staying current in the fields of chemistry and physics.”

Contributions can be made to the David E. Reemsnyder Research Center Endowed Equipment Fund by check or by making an online gift at www.wvwc.edu.
