Fordland helping United Way
Elkins Fordland and United Way of Randolph County are hosting a Drive 4 UR Community event to raise funds for the United Way of Randolph County. The event will be held at Elkins Fordland, at 696 Beverly Pike, on Saturday from 10 a.m.-4 p.m.
For each test drive that is completed during the event, Ford Motor Company will donate $20 to the United Way of Randolph County, up to a maximum of $6,000.
“Our community is fortunate to have the support of a business leader like Jim Jackson,” said JoBeth Agnor, executive director of the United Way of Randolph County. “We are excited to partner with Elkins Fordland for this event.”
The United Way of Randolph County’s vision is to make the community a great place to live, work and raise a family. They accomplish this through strategic area programs and events throughout the year.
“It’s great to be able to put together an event that will support the United Way,” said Jim Jackson, Elkins Fordland president. “We believe very strongly in their vision and the work they do for the community. This will be a great opportunity for people to not only help the United Way, but also to sample the latest Ford models, too.”
Participants will receive information on Ford vehicles as well as free gift bags, while supplies last. Concessions will also be available.
“We’ve always believed in our community and the best way to demonstrate that is to support it in every way we can,” Jackson said. “We hope everyone will come out and support United Way of Randolph County in this important event.”
