Arts Center offering workshops

The Randolph County Community Arts Center is offering several Saturday workshops in November.

Amy Beth Smith is offering a Holiday Wreath Making Workshop on Nov. 23. Learn how to create a festive wreath using deco mesh! The workshop will run from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., all supplies included. The cost is $35.

Jennifer Wagoner is putting a modern twist on the Nativity set. Her pottery workshop is a two-fer: slab build your set in the first session, glaze it in the second. The first session is Nov. 23 from 1-5 p.m. The second session is Dec. 14. The workshop is for adults and no experience is needed. The cost is $75.

Kadra Casseday wraps her Happy Birthday, Artist! series on Nov. 23 from 10-11:30 a.m. for grades K-5. The cost is $20.

Katy McClane is offering private flute lessons for students ages 7 and up. The 30-minute weekly sessions are $65 per month. Call the Arts Center for available times.

The Randolph County Community Arts Center, a non-profit organization promoting and supporting the arts in Randolph County and the surrounding areas, is located at the corner of Randolph Avenue and Park Street in Elkins.

The Arts Center’s Art Education programs are supported by the West Virginia Division of Culture and History, and the National Endowment for the Arts, with approval from the West Virginia Commission on the Arts, AES Laurel Mountain, LLC., and Parrack Insurance. Funds have been provided in part by the Carol Lambert Judy Scholarship Fund and the El Gran Sabor “El Gran Fest.”
