Barbour church to host Teen Christmas Party

JUNIOR – Horizons Church will hold a Christmas Party for teens 6th through 12th grades from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Saturday at 234 Beech Ave. in Junior.

There will be food, games and rocking versions of Christmas carols by”Absence of Misery.” Campus Pastor Jeff Burnett will share a Christmas devotional.

Burnett will also give information on the launch of the teen program at Horizons Church in January.

Horizons, a non-denominational church, opened a Barbour County video-campus location in October. The new campus has drawn about 35 attendees in addition to the 40 people who helped launch the church.

They meet in the completely renovated former Calvary UM building in Junior.

Live contemporary worship music is featured, and a message is delivered via video from the Horizons Lost Creek preaching team. There is children’s church, and Burnett facilitates the services and offers spiritual support.

More information about the Teen Christmas Party and Horizons Church is available on its Facebook page (Horizons Church Barbour County) and at, and by contacting Burnett at
