D&E sets schedule for student open houses
Davis & Elkins College has scheduled five admission open houses for prospective students and their families to tour the 170-acre campus, meet professors and Student Life representatives, and enjoy a meal from the college’s dining services.
The sessions, coordinated by Joey VanDevender, D&E assistant director of admissions, will take place on two Mondays, Jan. 20 and Feb. 17, and three Saturdays, March 15, and April 5 and 26.
VanDevender said, “Visiting a college is the best way to determine if the college is a good fit and helps prospective students decide if they feel comfortable, not only on the campus but also interacting with the student body.”
Each session begins at 9:30 a.m. and includes a meet-and-greet with faculty and financial planning representatives, a welcome in the historic Halliehurst Mansion, and lunch.
