Chamber scholarships available

The Elkins-Randolph County Chamber of Commerce Education Scholarship Program has been created to offer $500 scholarships to eligible Randolph County High School seniors who reside within the county and will be attending a four-year West Virginia college or university. The program’s goal is to recognize, honor and assist Randolph County students as they further their education and prepare for the challenging careers that lie ahead.

The entry deadline for this year’s scholarships is April 18. All applications must be turned in to your guidance counselor, or to the Chamber office, no later than 3 p.m. on that date.

A committee of Elkins-Randolph County Chamber of Commerce board members will choose the scholarship recipients based on the following criteria:

Scholastic achievement. Students must have a cumulative 3.0 GPA or higher, with a minimum ACT composite score of 20 or a minimum SAT score of 1410 .

Extra-curricular activities.

Qualities of character and leadership.

Business/career interests

Essay responses.

Applications can be picked up in school guidance offices and at the Chamber office.
