Open call for radio-style production

An open call is being held for voices to take part in a radio-style staged

Three shows will be performed in Thomas on May 24, during ArtSpring 2014. Come to the open read-through at Thomas Education Center at 6:30 p.m. April 24.

Relive the glory days of radio, when heroes were easy to find, but only The Shadow knew for sure. This upcoming production is the continuing series “From The Files Of Sheriff Lance McClane,” an original work incorporating local history and lore with entertaining laughs and more.

A few parts are still available to adult and youth readers. Officials are especially looking for men’s voices. The ability to do any sort of accent is most welcome. Prior experience is not necessary.

“You don’t have to memorize your part- just as in the golden age of radio – the actors work from scripts,” said Mary A. Mullenax.

“Bring your enthusiasm and a desire for fun! Minimal rehearsal time is required,” William Peterson, writer/director, said.
