Dustin Lynch concert moves indoors
ELKINS – Davis & Elkins College Campus Activities Board is busily preparing for this weekend’s Deja Vu Music Festival featuring top acts in hip-hop and country music. However, the weather doesn’t seem to be cooperating and Saturday’s concert has been moved to Myles Center for the Arts Harper-McNeeley Auditorium.
Doors open at 6:30 p.m. for the 7:30 p.m. show featuring country chart-topping artist Dustin Lynch with special guests Chris Lane and Cover Drive. Tickets are $20 general admission or $30 for a two-day pass and can be purchased online at www.dewv.edu/arts-entertainment.
“We’ve had one of the best years ever in terms of entertainment at D&E including our highly successful Switchfoot and Phillip Phillips concerts, so we want to end the season on a high note with our Saturday night Dustin Lynch concert,” says D&E Vice President for Student Affairs Scott Goddard. “With that in mind, we have decided to move Saturday night’s concert indoors to provide a comfortable environment for the crowd. The wet weather has made our Outdoor Amphitheatre and grounds unsuitable as an outdoor venue.”
Lynch’s latest single, “Where It’s At,” has propelled to No. 35 on the Billboard Country Songs Chart and to No. 39 on the Country Aircheck/USA Today Country chart.
Friday’s Club D&E: Senators Palace, beginning with a preshow at 9 p.m., will take place in The McDonnell Center. Tickets are $15 general admission or $30 for a two-day pass and can be purchased online at www.dewv.edu/arts-entertainment.
