Good Samaritan Society to host planning seminar

BELINGTON – The Good Samaritan Society-Barbour County will offer a seminar on Sept. 2 to provide information and answer questions about ways to include the Barbour County center in estate planning.

The seminar begins at 6 p.m. at Good Samaritan Society-Barbour County, located at 216 Samaritan Circle in Belington. Reservations must be made by Aug. 29 by contacting Emil Suder, director of resource development for Good Samaritan Society-Barbour County at 304-823-2555 or

Because of estate planning, the residents of Good Samaritan Society-Barbour County are able to call the center their home. Estate planning and other opportunities help provide for higher quality of life while providing the Christian-centered healthcare that has been part of the Barbour County area since 1974.

“Estate planning is a great way to preserve the legacy of Christian-centered care,” said Suder. “Planning ahead is a great way for families and individuals to invest in ways to keep the Good Samaritan Society as a leading provider of senior care and services.”

The Society offers many ways to create a lasting legacy. Local financial planners and Good Samaritan Society officials will be on hand to answer questions about estate planning, annuities and other gifts.

The Evangelical Lutheran Good Samaritan Society, the nation’s largest not-for-profit provider of senior care and services, owns and operates more than 240 long-term healthcare centers, senior living communities and home health agencies, including Good Samaritan Society-Barbour County.

Founded in 1922, the Good Samaritan Society’s mission is to share God’s love in word and deed by providing shelter and services to older persons and others in need, believing that “In Christ’s Love, Everyone Is Someone.”
