Playwright returns to Adaland Mansion
Karen Vuranch, one of Adaland Mansion’s favorite West Virginia playwrights, returns to the mansion for a murder mystery dinner theater on the side yard pavilion at 6 p.m. Aug. 8-9.
Vuranch, home-based at West Virginia Enterprises in Fayetteville, brings with her a rich background as a storyteller, actress and writer. In each of her roles she weaves together a love of history, a passion for stories and a sense of community.
Her annual visits to Adaland Mansion showcase her sense of community and her keen sense of merriment as she leads her audiences through yet another “whodunit” adventure.
Guests familiar with the style of Vuranch’s murder mysteries know she packs a lot of hilarity into a short period of time. Audiences should brace themselves for a fast ride through a short play, an introduction to a wide variety of somewhat wacky and suspicious characters, an interrogation of the cast of characters, and finally a vote on the character most likely to be the murderer, since a murder and murderer are always part of the play format.
Reservations may be made by calling 304-457-2415 or 304-457-1587.
