Poker Run for Kids set for Saturday
The eighth annual Poker Run for Kids is right around the corner – Saturday, to be exact – and Randolph-Tucker Children’s Advocacy Center staff and board members are excited.
The Poker Run will kick off at 9 a.m. from the Community Building in Montrose and weave through Belington, Parsons, Canaan Valley and Elkins before returning to Montrose.
Following all participants’ return by 4 p.m., we’ll be giving out great door prizes, including Forest Festival apparel, tools and hardware, train tickets, jewelry and gift certificates to various local vendors. The participant with the highest-scored hand wins the grand prize of $200.
The first 50 players to register will receive an official eighth annual Poker Run t-shirt. The registration fee of $20 per player includes a playing card, lunch, and eligibility for door prizes. Extra player cards are $10 each. Non-players may purchase lunch for $5.
A breakfast buffet is available to everyone for an additional $5.
Every dollar brought in from the Poker Run supports the CAC’s services for child sexual abuse victims and our prevention programming. Call 304-630-2214 for more information or you may make a donation to RTCAC, P.O. Box 627, Elkins, WV 26241.
