St. Joseph’s welcomes students from school
BUCKHANNON, – St. Joseph’s Hospital welcomed students from the West Virginia School of Osteopathic Medicine (WVSOM) at an orientation on July 23. The medical students will be completing their third and fourth year rotations in the hospital and in the physician offices.
St. Joseph’s Hospital was chosen by the WVSOM several years ago to participate as one of the permanent clinical education sites for their third and fourth year medical students. St. Joseph’s physicians take on the additional responsibility of training these students during their rotations. Students complete their rotations in Family Medicine, General Surgery, Emergency Medicine, Internal Medicine, OB/Gyn, Geriatrics, and Pediatrics, with electives in Cardiology, Urology, and Orthopaedic Surgery.
