Reunions

EHS CLASS OF 1963: Elkins High School class of 1963 will host its 55th class reunion today through Sunday. Social will be from 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at the 1863 Grill with a cash bar. Social, dinner and entertainment will begin at 6:30 p.m. Saturday in the Randolph Room of the Isaac Jackson Hotel. Reservations are required to attend this event. On Sunday, breakfast will be at the Steer Steakhouse with each classmate responsible for their own meal.

ARNOLD: The annual Arnold family reunion 2018 will be Saturday at Arnold Park, Leadmine, Tucker County. Activities will include visits to the memorial-chapel, games, sharing memories and more. A potluck style picnic will be served at noon. A short business meeting will follow. For park information, contact Donnie Evans. BELL-DAY: The Bell-Day reunion will be from noon to 6 p.m. Saturday in the Ag Complex Building at Camp Pioneer in Beverly. Relatives and friends attending are asked to bring a picnic lunch.

BENNETT: The descendants of the late John and Nellie Davis Bennett will host the family reunion Saturday at the pond pavilion at Camp Pioneer.

MILL CREEK MEMORIAL MISSION CHURCH/BRUSH ARBOR: The Brush Arbor homecoming will be Saturday at Mill Creek Memorial Union Mission. A picnic lunch will be served from noon to 3 p.m. Those attending are asked to bring a lawn chair. Games for adults and kids will take place from noon to 3 p.m. The opening service will begin at 3 p.m. with singers the Riggs Family, Pastor Tommy Blake, Eileen Johns and more. Bama Blu-Grace will perform at 6 p.m. Baptism will follow the Sunday morning service.

BUHS CLASS OF 1983: Buckhannon-Upshur High School class of 1983 will host its 35-year class reunion Saturday at the 88 Restaurant and Lounge’s outdoor pavilion. The classes of 1982 and 1984 are also invited. Social hour will be from 5-6 p.m. Dinner will be from 6 p.m. until midnight with the dance from 8 p.m. until midnight. One keg will be provided and will have a cash bar with other great activities. CAYNOR: The Caynor reunion will be Saturday at the Kesling Mill Lion’s Club. Lunch will be served at 12:30 p.m. Fried chicken and tableware will be provided. Those attending are asked to bring a covered dish.

LEE: The descendants of Babe and Mary Lee will host the annual reunion Saturday at the Arlington Community Building on Route 20 near Rock Cave. Those attending are asked to bring something to contribute to the meal. A short program honoring the family of Dollie Lee Hardman, daughter of Babe and Mary Lee, will begin at noon.

PARSONS: The 111th Parsons family reunion will be at noon Saturday at 4-H Camp Kidd, Tucker County Fairgrounds, Route 72 north of Parsons. Potluck luncheon, meat and drink provided. All families are asked to bring a dish or two.

POE: The descendants of Tom and Minnie Koon Poe will host the family reunion Saturday at the small pavilion in Elkins City Park. Lunch will be at noon. Those attending are asked to bring a covered dish and an item for the auction. Activities will include a 50/50 drawing and chances on a goodie basket.

COALTON UNION MISSION CHURCH: Coalton Union Mission Church homecoming will be Sunday. Pastor Gerald Hamrick will be the morning speaker. Pastor Marshall Williams will be the speaker at 1 p.m. Singing will be provided by Gracie Harris.

KNUTTI: The annual Knutti family reunion will be Sunday at the Stuart Park’s main pavilion. A church service will be from 11 a.m. to noon and the picnic will begin at 1 p.m. Those attending are asked to bring a covered dish to share and a donated item to sell in the auction. WAYBRIGHT-TETER: The annual reunion of the late Don Waybright and Irabelle Teter Waybright family will be Sunday at the Flanagan Hill Community Center at Red Creek. Lunch will begin at 12:30 p.m. Those attending are asked to bring a covered dish and drink to share. Paper products and tableware will be provided.

EHS CLASS OF 1968: The EHS graduating class of 1968 will celebrate its 50th reunion the weekend of July 27-29. All classmates are encouraged to attend, and registration deadline is July 1. Addresses are still needed for the following: Mary Ann Brenwalt Snyder, Michael A. Carr, Anna Clayton Phares, Michael Douglas, Alice Hornick Hammond, Russell Morris and Steven M. Taylor. DAUGHERTY: The 43rd annual Daugherty reunion will be Aug. 4 at the Union Community Building in Philippi. JEFFREY, HEADLEY, BELL, FLUHARTY: The Jeffrey, Headley, Bell and Fluharty family reunion will begin at 11 a.m. Aug. 4 at Cedar Creek State Park, 2947 Cedar Creek Road, Glenville. CARR: The families of the late Ira and Florence Carr will host the annual Carr reunion beginning at 11 a.m. Aug. 11 at Camp Pioneer in Beverly. Dinner will start at 12:30 p.m. Those attending are asked to bring a covered dish and a craft for the auction. Pictures will be taken before dinner.

WEGMAN: The annual Wegman family reunion will begin at noon Aug. 11 at Wegman Park in Adolph. Family members are asked to bring a dish and a beverage.

WELCH: The family of Wirt and Mable Welch will host the annual family reunion Aug. 11 at Camp Pioneer 4H camp in Beverly. Those attending are asked to bring a covered dish for lunch.

PASTINE: Family and friends of the late Toney and Annie Miller Pastine are invited to attend the annual reunion Aug. 12 at the Phillips Chapel Church Pavilion in Jimtown. Lunch will be served at noon. Meat, drinks and paper products will be provided. Those attending are asked to bring two covered dishes and two items for the auction.
